Program description

ImageBlizzard is a program to save few or all pictures of folders in one step.
Moreover it is possible to rotate or to mirror or even to write a text on each picture.
It is usefull for example to show preview pictures of a gallery, with all pictures having the same size and a Copyright.

At first all wished options must be defined then the program can be launched. The settings will be applied to all selected pictures.

The new pictures will be saved in a new folder ‘_ImgBlizzard’, so that original pictures will still be available.

Settings for size altering

The different possibilities to alter the size are described as following:
When no check mark is selected for the height and the width, the picture will be first analysed. If the picture is in landscape format, then the program will ask for the requested width value and the height value will be proportionally calculated.
If the picture is in portrait format, the program will ask for the requested height value and the width value will be proportionally calculated.

When a check mark is selected for the width, in any case the width will be fixed and the height will be proportionally calculated. And inversely when the check mark is selected for the height.

If both check marks are selected, both values will be fixed and the picture will be deformed.
It is useful for example, when the pictures have only variations of 1 or 2 pixels and they get all the same size.

The picture will be modified only when the check mark ‘Change size’ is selected. If not, then all the pictures will be saved with the original size on the new folder.

Picture formats

The picture can be read in different formats and saved in JPEG format.
The compression level can be set in JPEG-Quality: a higher value means a lower compression and a higher picture quality. Standard value is 90.

The following picture format can be read and displayed:
JPEG (JPG), GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF (TIF), ICO, PSD, PCX, TARGA, LBM, KOALA

The format for saving will always be JPEG (JPG).

File name change

Prefix means that this value will be added before the name of the file.
Postfix means that the value will be added at the end of the file name.
The check mark ‘Change name only’ means that the picture will be unchanged and only a prefix or a postfix will be added.
